Built on the recognition that there is a need for a more diverse coaching pool in conferences across the country.
Through conversations and evaluation, it was determined that one of the main issues that leads to the scarcity of diverse candidates is the limited relationships and exposure to a diverse pool of coaches. Head coaches typically hire candidates that they have a relationship with or through recommendations from coaching friends. We believe that the Diversity Mentorship Program can help support a larger pool of diverse candidates moving forward.
